“Lost In Translation”

In the age of social media, we are given the unique power to carefully curate our online image and control how others perceive our lives. But with the constant bombardment of idealized images and falsified realities presented to us online, how do we maintain our true sense of self? The series, Lost In Translation, further explores this question through the visual idea of a pixelated self-image, or identity that has been lost within the massive cloud of online data. By distorting and obscuring the subject, the viewer is challenged to question their own perception of reality and confront the notion that when we go online, we are surrendering our true sense of self
